Bomba Dancer in Puerto Rico

From$349

The bomba dancer starts at $349 in the metro area for 30 minutes and goes up to $429 depending on the event's town. She dances with live drums and can include an explanation of the tradition.

The Bomba Dancer masters the repique, that dialogue between the drum and the movement of the skirt that defines Puerto Rican bomba. She arrives in a traditional ruffled skirt and entertains while sharing the tradition.

How it fits your event

She can dance with live drums or join another performance, and has an optional educational component to explain the tradition to the audience. The base performance is 30 minutes.

Best for

Cultural events, weddings with out-of-town guests, corporate and convention events, school and municipal activities, and national pride celebrations.

What's included

A bomba dancer, a traditional ruffled skirt, a performance with drum interaction and an optional educational component. It works well when the event wants to show bomba and not just play it, for example at a school or municipal activity, or with out-of-town guests.

With live Puerto Rican Bomba

If you want the full experience, she pairs with the Puerto Rican Bomba with live percussionists, and one team coordinates the musicians and the dancer. Without live drums, tell us beforehand so we adjust the format.

Space and more time

The movement of the skirt needs free space around her, though no high ceiling. For several moments in the event we arrange additional sets for an extra cost, set in the quote.

Price and event town

The price starts at $349 in the metro area. Depending on the event's town it goes up to $429, and we confirm it when we quote. With the date and town we check availability; the $125 deposit holds the date.
