Vejigantes in Puerto Rico

From$309

Vejigantes start at $309 in the metro area for 30 minutes and go up to $389 depending on the event's town. They wear a handcrafted mask and a traditional costume, and interact with guests.

The vejigante is one of the most recognizable characters of Puerto Rican carnival. Our performers wear handcrafted masks and colorful traditional costumes, bringing a living piece of Boricua culture to your event.

How it fits your event

It works as a welcome, as a surprise during the party or alongside plena or bomba music. The base performance is 30 minutes, with direct guest interaction and time for photos.

Best for

Cultural celebrations, corporate events with a Puerto Rican identity, weddings with out-of-town guests who want to experience the island, festivals and town fiestas. For formal events there is also the White and Silver Vejigante.

What's included

A performer with a handcrafted mask, a traditional vejigante costume, decorative vejigas and an interactive performance. It is a carnival piece that guests recognize at once, so it works as well with a local crowd as with relatives visiting the island.

Space and outdoors

It is a floor-level character: a comfortable walking area is enough, with no high ceiling needed as stilts require. At an outdoor event, tell us if rain is likely and we arrange a backup plan with the venue to protect the costume.

More time

The 30 minutes can be extended to 60. Each additional hour has an extra cost that we set in the quote.

Price and event town

The price starts at $309 inside the metro area. If the event is in another town it rises to $389, and we confirm it before you book. With the date and town we check availability, and we agree on the arrival time with the venue. The $125 deposit holds the date.
