Plena Dancer in Puerto Rico

From$259

The plena dancer starts at $259 in the metro area for 30 minutes and goes up to $349 depending on the event's town. She performs choreographed dances in a typical dress and can accompany plena musicians.

Our Plena Dancer performs the traditional steps of our folk music in a typical Puerto Rican dress. She gives plena a face and movement, and makes guests want to join the dance.

How it fits your event

She shines next to plena musicians such as Plenarepike, and also works for the welcome or to open the dance floor. The base performance is 30 minutes, with choreographed dance.

Best for

Weddings with a Puerto Rican identity, cultural events, corporate activities, town fiestas, festivals and celebrations with out-of-town guests who want to experience Boricua culture.

What's included

A professional dancer, a typical Puerto Rican dress, a choreographed performance and the option to interact with plena musicians during her set. For a wedding or a cultural activity she can be the visual complement to the music: guests hear the plena and see how it is danced.

With live music or a DJ

If you book pleneros, we arrange for the dancer to join their set. If the music comes from a DJ, tell us the song or the moment and we adjust the dance. D'Show's pleneros and batucada are Puerto Rican musicians and can be paired with her as a package in the quote.

More sets and space

For several moments in the event we arrange additional sets for an extra cost, set in the quote. She needs free space to move; she does not need a high ceiling.

Price and event town

The price starts at $259 inside the metro area. Outside it, depending on the town, it reaches $349 and we confirm it when we quote. With the date and town we check availability, and the $125 deposit holds the date.
