Batucada in Puerto Rico

From$479

Batucada in Puerto Rico starts at $479 for the Baturepike Clásico, 30 minutes with 4 musicians, in the metro area. The 30-minute variants run from $629 (Caribbean, Brazil and Mardi Gras) to $849 (LED), and the 15-minute Express format is $379. Outside the metro area a surcharge applies depending on the town.

D'Show Events' batucada is played by Baturepike, a percussion ensemble of Puerto Rican musicians produced and managed by D'Show Events. It walks into the room playing, with costumes that depend on the variant and a repertoire for all ages.

The moment

It works for the reception entrance, the cocktail hour or the dance floor opening. Baturepike Clásico, our most requested show, runs 30 minutes with 4 musicians.

Best for

Weddings, quinceañeras, graduations, corporate events, launches and surprise entrances. For destination weddings there is Baturepike Caribbean, with an English-language pop repertoire and bilingual hosting.

How it fits your event

There are six formats. Clásico (30 minutes, 4 musicians) starts at $479. Caribbean, Brazil and Mardi Gras (30 minutes, 5 musicians) start at $629, and Brazil and Mardi Gras swap the costumes for a Rio carnival or Mardi Gras theme. Batucada LED (30 minutes, 4 musicians, LED costumes) starts at $849 and is meant for evening events. Express runs 15 minutes with 4 musicians, costs $379 and is available just in the metro area.

Space and weather

It needs a minimum space of 10 by 10 feet and a covered area, because the instruments are sensitive to rain. If your event is outdoors, tell us the venue and the date and we arrange a covered area or a tent as a backup with the venue. The group arrives ahead of the agreed time, and we set the arrival time with the venue based on the access they give us.

Batucada or pleneros?

Batucada is high-energy, festive percussion; pleneros play Puerto Rican plena with panderetas. If you want both, the Batuplena Experience puts both shows together with a single team.

Outside the metro area

If the event is outside the metro area, the batucada carries a distance surcharge that we confirm once we know the event's town. The published prices are the metro area ones.

What's included

Musicians and costumes according to the variant, a varied repertoire, a show suitable for all audiences and production coordination by D'Show Events.

Tell us the date, the town and the moment you want it (entrance, cocktail hour or dance floor opening) and we confirm the format and the price. The $125 deposit holds Baturepike for your date.
