Batuplena Experience in Puerto Rico

From$1,095

The Batuplena Experience starts at $1,095 in the metro area. It is 55 minutes with 5 musicians who play both plena and batucada: 20 minutes of pleneros, a 15-minute break and 20 minutes of batucada. Outside the metro area a surcharge applies depending on the town.

Batuplena Experience brings a Plenarepike plena set and a Baturepike batucada set to the same event, with the same team of 5 versatile musicians. They are two different energies: Puerto Rican plena and the festive percussion of the batucada.

The moment

The format runs 55 minutes in total: 20 minutes of plena, a 15-minute break and 20 minutes of batucada. A good combination is plena for the entrance or cocktail hour and batucada to open the dance floor.

Best for

Weddings, quinceañeras, corporate events, destination weddings and celebrations where you want two strong live music moments without hiring two separate groups.

How it fits your event

Five musicians play both styles, and we coordinate the transitions between one show and the other, with themed costumes. The hosting is your choice, in Spanish or English, at no extra cost, which makes it useful for a destination wedding.

Why not book the two groups separately?

A single team means one schedule and one arrival.

Space and weather

Both shows are percussion, and rain can affect the instruments. If your event is outdoors, have a covered area as a backup; we arrange it with the venue. We confirm the space the group needs when we quote. Both shows arrive with the same team, so we set a single arrival time with the venue based on the access they give us.

Outside the metro area

The published Batuplena Experience is the metro area one. If the event is outside the metro area, a distance surcharge applies, which we confirm once we know the event's town.

What's included

Five versatile musicians for plena and batucada, coordination of the transitions between both shows and themed costumes.

Tell us the date, the town and when you want each show, and we confirm the schedule and the final price. A $125 deposit holds the date for both shows.
