Puerto Rican Bomba in Puerto Rico

From$1,695

Puerto Rican bomba for events starts at $1,695 in the metro area with the Bomba Show Esencial: 1 hour, 4 musicians and 1 dancer. The Bomba Full Experience, with 5 musicians and 4 dancers, starts at $2,995. Outside the metro area a surcharge applies depending on the town.

Bomba is one of the most important expressions of Afro-Puerto Rican culture. Our experience brings together percussionists with traditional barrel drums, professional dancers and a performance that brings your guests closer to those roots.

The moment

The performance runs 1 hour and includes a workshop-style demonstration where the audience takes part. It can be the cultural moment of the event.

Best for

Weddings with out-of-town guests who want to experience Puerto Rico, corporate and convention events, cultural, municipal and school activities, and heritage celebrations.

How it fits your event

There are two 1-hour formats. The Bomba Show Esencial (4 musicians and 1 dancer) starts at $1,695. The Bomba Full Experience (5 musicians and 4 dancers, with a larger production) starts at $2,995. Both include live music, dance, hosting and the workshop-style demonstration.

Sound, space and outdoors

Professional sound is optional and quoted separately; if the venue already has sound, we coordinate with them. The space the dancers need depends on the format, and we confirm it from the venue's measurements when we quote. If your event is outdoors, tell us the venue and the date and we arrange a rain plan with the venue. We set the group's arrival time with the venue based on the access they give us.

Bomba or pleneros?

Bomba is Afro-Puerto Rican percussion and dance with barrel drums. Pleneros play plena with panderetas. You can combine bomba with pleneros or with other live music from D'Show Events, and one team coordinates the timing.

Outside the metro area

For an event outside the metro area, bomba carries a distance surcharge that we confirm once we know the event's town. For the farthest towns we confirm the group's logistics first.

What's included

Percussionists with traditional barrel drums, professional dancers according to the package, typical attire and a workshop-style demonstration with audience participation.

Tell us the date, the town and the type of event, and we confirm the format and the price. The $125 deposit secures the date for the format you choose.
