Plenarepike is D'Show Events' plena group. It plays Puerto Rican plena with traditional panderetas, typical costumes and a repertoire that mixes classics with contemporary takes.

The moment

Plena works for the entrance or to liven up the cocktail hour. Plenarepike Clásico runs 30 minutes with 5 musicians, and the repertoire and hosting are in Spanish.

How it fits your event

There are four formats, all with 5 musicians. Clásico (30 minutes) starts at $579. Caribbean (30 minutes) starts at $729: Puerto Rican repertoire mixed with English-language pop and hosting in English, for English-speaking audiences. LED (30 minutes) starts at $849, with LED costumes and the LED Hora Loca music at no extra cost. Mini runs 15 minutes, costs $479 and is available just in the metro area.

Space and weather

Panderetas are percussion instruments and rain can affect them. If your event is outdoors, have a covered area or a tent as a backup, and we arrange it with the venue. We confirm the exact space the group needs when we quote. We set the group's arrival time with the venue based on the access they give us.

Pleneros or batucada?

Pleneros bring Puerto Rican folk music, with a softer melody than the batucada, which is high-energy percussion. If you want both, the Batuplena Experience combines them with a single team.

Outside the metro area

For an event outside the metro area, the pleneros carry a distance surcharge that we confirm once we know the event's town. The published prices are the metro area ones.
